Pre & Post Care RECOMMENDATIONS

At The Aesthetic Studio, we ensure every client is well-informed about how to prepare and what to expect during the recovery process, ensuring the best possible results.

 IT IS IMPORTANT TO FOLLOW THE SPECIFIC AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS PROVIDED TO ENSURE THE BEST POSSIBLE HEALING AND RESULTS.

BioRePeel Treatments 

    1. Avoid Certain Products and Treatments: Discontinue use of retinoids, exfoliating agents, and products containing acids (like AHA, BHA) at least 48 hours before your treatment. Avoid any procedures that may irritate the skin for 1 week prior (e.g., waxing, depilatories). If you have received Botox in the last 14 days, please reschedule.

    2. Sun Exposure: Minimize sun exposure and do not use tanning beds for at least one week before treatment. Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen daily.

    3. Skin Condition: Ensure your skin is free from inflammation, infections, eczema, or active acne. Reschedule your appointment if any of these conditions are present.

    4. Medications: Inform your provider if you are taking any medication, especially those that affect blood clotting (like aspirin or ibuprofen) or immune suppressants.

    5. Hydration: Hydrate well the day before and the day of your treatment for optimal skin condition.

  • Immediately After Treatment:

    1. Skin Sensitivity: Your skin may appear red and feel sensitive similar to a mild sunburn. This is normal and will subside within a few hours to days.

    2. Hydration: Use a gentle moisturizer that we provided to keep the skin hydrated. Use as needed.

    For the Next 24-48 Hours:

    1. Avoid Heat: No hot baths, saunas, or excessive heat and sweat-inducing activities.

    2. Sun Protection: Avoid direct sun exposure. Wear a broad-spectrum sunscreen with at least SPF 30 or higher and reapply as necessary.

    3. No Makeup: Avoid applying makeup for at least 24 hours to allow the skin to heal.

    Following Days:

    Skincare Products: Resume gentle skincare products as recommended by your provider after 48 hours.

    Continue avoiding products containing irritants like acids and retinoids for a week.

Fillers

    1. Avoid blood-thinning medications (such as aspirin, ibuprofen, naproxen, and other NSAIDs) for at least 3-5 daysbefore treatment unless prescribed by your doctor.

    2. Refrain from alcohol consumption for 24-48 hours prior to your appointment, as alcohol can increase the risk of bruising and swelling.

    3. Avoid supplements like fish oil, vitamin E, ginkgo biloba, and garlic at least 3 days before treatment, as they can increase bruising risk.

    4. Stay well-hydrated and eat a small meal before your appointment to prevent lightheadedness.

    5. Do not schedule important events for at least 1-2 weeks after your treatment in case of mild swelling or bruising.

    6. If you have a history of cold sores, notify your provider in advance, as filler injections around the mouth area may trigger an outbreak.

    7. Arrive with a clean face, free of makeup, moisturizers, or skincare products

    1. Avoid touching, rubbing, or massaging the treated areas for 24 hours to allow the filler to settle properly.

    2. Expect mild swelling, bruising, and tenderness, which should subside within a few days. Applying a cold compress can help reduce swelling.

    3. Do not apply pressure to the treated areas for 24 hours (e.g., sleeping on your face or wearing tight masks or glasses over treated areas).

    4. Refrain from strenuous exercise for 24-48 hours to minimize swelling and bruising.

    5. Avoid alcohol consumption for at least 24 hours to reduce bruising risk. Limit excessive heat exposure (hot tubs, saunas, sunbathing) for 48 hours to prevent inflammation.

    6. Do not get facials, massages, or aggressive skincare treatments for at least 7 days posttreatment.

    7. You may apply makeup gently after 24 hours, but avoid pressing on the treated area.

    8. Results will continue to improve over 3-4 weeks as the filler integrates into the tissue.
      Final results are typically visible after 4 weeks.

    9. If you notice any unusual symptoms such as extreme swelling, persistent lumps, or discoloration, contact us immediately.

Laser Hair Removal

    1. PLEASE SHAVE TREATED AREA AT LEAST 24 HOURS HOURS PRIOR TO YOUR APPOINTMENT. UNSHAVED CLIENTS WILL BE RESCHEDULED.

    2. Avoid sun exposure 3-7 days prior to treatment

    3. We will not treat areas that are sunburnt, this can cause further damage to your skin

    4. DO NOT self tan 7 days prior to your appointment on treatment area

    5. Exfoliate treatment area prior to shaving before your appointment to rid of any built up dead skin and/or products on the skin.

    6. DO NOT apply any numbing products, this is a virtually PAIN FREE laser and is very tolerable and comfortable.

    7. Please come to the clinic with clean skin in the area being treated, clients getting treated on their face will be required to cleanse their face at the clinic.

    8. AVOID chemical peels and other laser procedures in the area to be treated at least 2 weeks prior and at least 2 weeks after your hair removal treatment.

    9. DO NOT use any AHA/BHA, hydroquinone, retinol/retinoid, tazorac, and Differin for at least 7 days prior to treatment on the area being treated.

    10. Clients with any abnormal lesions, moles or spots on the treatment area will need to be cleared by a medical professional prior to treatment or area will be avoided.

    11. MUST stop waxing, tweezing, plucking and chemical epilation (nair) at least 3 weeks prior to treatment. Not doing so WILL effect your results.

    12. Clients with active cold sores will NOT be treated

    13. Clients that have used Accutane or similar products within the last 6 months CANNOT have hair removal treatments.

    14. Wait 2 weeks post botox to receive laser hair removal on the face

    15. Antibiotics, and any other medications may increase photosensitivity. We recommend that you check with your personal physician prior to receiving laser treatments if you are taking any of these medications long-term. If you are on a short term antibiotic, please wait 7 days after ending your round of antibiotics to book laser hair removal.

    1. DO NOT expose treated area to direct sunlight or tanning beds for at least

    2. DO NOT use hot tubs, sauna, steam rooms for at least 48 hours

    3. DO NOT wax, pluck, use depilatory creams (Nair) on treated area in between sessions, doing so will effect your end results and may require you to have more sessions performed.

    4. DO NOT shave the treated area immediately, if possible, please avoid shaving between sessions, if you need to, wait at least 5 days, you want full growth between sessions and only shaving 24 hours prior to your appointment in order to achieve optimal results.

    5. DO NOT use harsh, abrasive exfoliants on the treated area

    6. DO NOT swim in chlorinated pools or saltwater for at least 48 hours

    7. DO NOT use scented, perfumed products in/on treated areas

    8. DO NOT engage in strenuous activities for 24 hours

    9. DO NOT use sunless tanning products, spray tans for 2 weeks

    10. DO NOT hesitate to reach out to your laser tech for further clarification or questions

Lip Blushing

    1. Hydration: Ensure your lips and body are well-hydrated by drinking plenty of water days before your appointment.

    2. Avoid Blood Thinners: Refrain from taking aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, vitamin E, and other blood-thinning supplements for at least 72 hours prior to your appointment (consult with your healthcare provider if these are medically necessary).

    3. Skip Lip Products: Do not use lip balms, lipsticks, or lip scrubs on the day of your treatment.

    4. No Alcohol or Caffeine: Avoid alcohol and caffeine 24 hours before your session to reduce swelling and bleeding.

    5. Cold Sores: If you have a history of cold sores, consider taking an antiviral medication before treatment (consult your doctor).

    6. Healthy Condition: Reschedule your appointment if you have any cuts, sores, or blemishes on or around your lips.

    1. Aquaphor Application: Use the provided Aquaphor pack to apply a thin layer on your lips to keep them moist. Reapply as needed to prevent drying.

    2. Keep Lips Clean: Avoid touching your lips with unclean hands. Gently rinse your lips each morning and night with water and pat them dry with a clean tissue.

    3. No Makeup: Do not apply any lip makeup until the healing process is complete (usually about two weeks).

    4. Avoid Extremes: Keep away from extreme heat, saunas, and swimming pools for at least two weeks.

    5. Food and Drink: Avoid spicy and hot temperature foods and beverages for the first few days after treatment.

      Note: Healing typically involves some swelling, flaking, and varying intensity of color. These are all normal parts of the healing process

Microneedling

    5. Do not schedule any important social events or photoshoots for at least 1-2 weeks posttreatment in case of mild swelling or bruising.

    6. If you have a history of cold sores, notify your provider in advance as Botox around the mouth area may trigger an outbreak.

    7. Come with a clean face, free of makeup, moisturizers, or skincare products. (if possible)

    1. Avoid touching, rubbing, or massaging the treated areas for 24 hours to prevent Botox from spreading to unintended muscles.

    2. Stay upright for at least 4 hours after your treatment. Avoid bending over or lying down. Refrain from strenuous exercise for 24 hours post-treatment to prevent increased blood flow that may reduce effectiveness.

    3. Avoid excessive heat exposure (hot tubs, saunas, or intense sun exposure) for 24-48 hours to prevent swelling and irritation.

    4. Limit alcohol intake for at least 24 hours to reduce the risk of bruising.

    5. Do not get any facial treatments (such as facials, microdermabrasion, or chemical peels) for at least 14 days after Botox.

    6. Mild swelling, redness, or bruising is normal and should subside within a few days. You may gently apply makeup after 24 hours, but avoid heavy pressure on the treated areas.

    7. Botox takes full effect within 14 days, so be patient for final results. If you need a touchup, schedule a follow-up appointment after 2 weeks.

PCDC Fat Dissolving Treatments

    1. One week before: Exclude aspirin, ginkgo biloba, garlic, coenzymes Q10, Flax oil, Cod Liver Oil, Vitamin A, Vitamin E and any other essential acids.

    2. 24 to 48 hours before: Exclude Niacin, high-sodium foods, refined carbohydrates (you may eat fruit), avoid foods with added sugar, fructose, corn syrup, spicy foods, caffeine, alcohol.

    3. Day of Treatment: Eat a full breakfast or lunch depending on the time of treatment. Include a moderate amount of protein with your meal and 30–40 minutes prior to your visit. Avoid refined sugar, caffeine and carbohydrates. Suggested protein: eggs, cheese, meat, fish or whey protein shake.

    4. Exclude aspirin, ginkgo biloba, garlic, coenzymes Q10, Flax oil, Cod Liver Oil, Vitamin A, Vitamin E and any other essential acids.

    1. After treatment there may be slight redness, swelling, bruising, tenderness or itching in the in the treated area. This is a normal result of the product/injection – the inconvenience is temporary and generally disappears in a day or two. Small lumps may also occur and will go over a few days. Contact me if you are concerned.

    2. Numbness and reduced sensation in the treated often occurs and can persist for several weeks/months after the treatment. This always resolves spontaneously with time.

    3. The area can remain tender to touch several weeks after the treatment. Tylenol is ok to take!

    4. Rarely allergic reactions can occur, in the form of small lumps the size of a 1p piece. If that happens please contact me for advice.

    5. You may apply an ice pack to the treated area to reduce the initial swelling or a compression garment.

    6. If you have previously suffered from facial herpes, there is a risk that the injections could contribute to another eruption of herpes (cold sores etc.).

    7. Do not wash the area or take a hot shower for 8 hours after the treatment.

    8. Do not expose the treated area to intense heat e.g. sunbed, swimming, sauna, sunbathing or extreme coldness. A sauna before treatment can help to mobilise the fat. If it’s unavoidable to go into the sun, wear SPF 50 at all times.

    9. Avoid heavy exercise for 48 hours after treatment, as sweating will cause you to excrete the solution from the skin, which will reduce the treatment effectiveness.

    10. Eat extra fibre to bind toxins excreted in the digestive tract. Follow a low–carbohydrate/high protein diet (such as steamed vegetables with fish/chicken/meat and no bread or potatoes diet) for 72 hours post treatment. This is not mandatory, but will optimize results.

    11. Avoid alcohol to facilitate the liver in the handling of the fat.

    12. Stay well hydrated by drinking 2 litres of water a day for the next week.

    13. Following the procedure, a gradual reduction in the thickness of the fat layer will take place. You may start to see changes as early as three weeks after the treatment. Your body will continue naturally to process the injured fat cells from your body for approximately four months after your last treatment.

    14. Depending upon the area to be treated you will need a course of treatments. One treatment will produce minimal results. Treatments can be carried out 5 weeks apart.

    15. Weight gain will prevent you from appreciating your full results. Maintaining a healthy diet and exercise routine after your procedure can help prevent this.

PMU Brow Treatments

    1. Avoid Alcohol & Caffeine: Refrain from consuming alcohol and caffeine 24 hours before your session to minimize bleeding.

    2. Skip Blood Thinners: Avoid aspirin, ibuprofen, and other blood-thinning medications for at least 48 hours prior (consult your doctor if these are prescribed for medical reasons).

    3. No Retinoids or AHA/BHA: Discontinue the use of skincare products containing retinoids, AHA, BHA, and exfoliants 2 weeks prior.

    4. Stay Out of the Sun: Avoid tanning or prolonged sun exposure for 2 weeks before your appointment to prevent hypersensitivity and skin irritation.

    5. Avoid Facial Treatments: No botox, facials, chemical treatments, or microdermabrasion for 2 weeks prior

    1. Use the wipe provided directly from the artist to wipe excess lymph fluid from brows 3 hours post service.

    2. Keep It Dry: Avoid getting your brows wet for at least 10 days. This includes sweating heavily.

    3. No Touching: Do not touch the brow area to avoid the spread of bacteria.

    4. Avoid Makeup: Keep makeup away from the brows for at least two weeks to prevent infections.

    5. Skip the Skincare: Avoid facial scrubs, peels, or aggressive washing on the brow area.

    6. Do not pick at scabs Sun Protection: Avoid tanning and prolonged exposure to direct sunlight. Once healed, use SPF 30 or higher to extend the pigment retention.

    7. FAILURE TO FOLLOW AFTER CARE INSTRUCTIONS MAY RESULT IN INFECTIONS, PIGMENT LOSS OR DISCOLOURATION.

PRP Treatments

    1. Avoid blood-thinning medications (such as aspirin, ibuprofen, naproxen, and other NSAIDs) for at least 3-5 daysbefore treatment unless prescribed by your doctor.

    2. Refrain from alcohol consumption for 24-48 hours before your appointment to reduce the risk of bruising and inflammation.

    3. Avoid supplements like fish oil, vitamin E, ginkgo biloba, and garlic for at least 3 days before treatment, as they can increase bruising risk.

    4. Stay well-hydrated by drinking plenty of water leading up to your appointment.

    5. Eat a light meal before your treatment to prevent dizziness or lightheadedness. If you are prone to cold sores, notify your provider as PRP treatments near the mouth may trigger an outbreak.

    6. Arrive with a clean face or scalp, free of makeup, hair products, or skincare products.

    7. Avoid excessive sun exposure and tanning beds for 3 days before treatment. If receiving PRP for hair restoration, wash your hair the morning of your appointment and avoid using any styling products.

    1. Mild redness, swelling, and tenderness at the injection sites are normal and should subside within a few days.

    2. Avoid touching, rubbing, or massaging the treated areas for 24 hours to allow proper healing.

    3. Do not wash your face or hair for 24 hours after treatment.

    4. Avoid strenuous exercise for at least 24-48 hours to minimize swelling and bruising.

    5. Refrain from alcohol and blood-thinning medications for 24-48 hours to reduce bruising risk.

    6. Avoid excessive sun exposure, hot showers, saunas, and steam rooms for 48 hours posttreatment.

    7. Do not apply makeup or skincare products to the treated areas for at least 24 hours to prevent irritation.


    For PRP hair restoration:

    1. Avoid shampooing your hair for 24-48 hours.

    2. Do not use harsh hair treatments (e.g., coloring, chemical treatments) for at least 7 days.

    3. Avoid tight hats or headbands for 48 hours. Results will develop gradually over the next 4-6 weeks, with optimal improvements seen after multiple treatments.

    4. Schedule follow-up treatments as recommended by your provider for the best results.

    5. If you experience excessive pain, severe swelling, or any signs of infection, please contact our office immediately
